Facebook is moving into cryptocurrency but it's Cryptocurrency Won’t Let You Buy Your Privacy Back
Finally, Facebook is moving into cryptocurrency. It is expected to launch some stable coin that will allow users on its worldwide network to exchange value. Contrary to the expectations of many that Facebook would probably use an existing cryptocurrency, it will be launching its own coin at its own discretion, without any real decentralized governance.
The main concern, however, will likely come from privacy issues. It seems likely that the toke user data will be accessible to Facebook which might make it possible to trace how a particular token has exchanged hands, tracing back to the origin.
