Theft of $1 Billion Worth of Cryptocurrency
Hackers find innovative ways to bypass security regulations like stealing identities, hijacking public Wi-Fi connections, or even bypassing two-factor authentication.
According to cryptocurrency fraud detection company Chainalysis, two hacker groups have stolen about $1 Billion Worth of Cryptocurrency. On average, these groups looted $90 million per hack.
These two groups of highly sophisticated cyber criminals use different approaches. One group is a large, tightly controlled organization at least partly driven by non-monetary goals. The other group seems to be less organized and smaller organization entirely focused on the money.
